So we made it to Eau Claire WI today and it was a gorgeous traveling day.  Mostly the weather was perfect and once past Chicago that fields were green and rolling.

I did not realize how much like Northern Maine Wisconsin looked like.  It is nothing but crops, rolling hills and cows.  Just like home :-)  I took a picture of the first thing we saw higher then the tree tops.  The people here are very friendly and sweet.

Our only bit of trouble today was a very bad rain storm.  We were driving down the road and all of a sudden was like "hmm the sky is getting very dark, very quickly!  Hmm I have never seen inky black clouds roll across the sky like they were in a turbine."  then BOOM!! the rain started poorind down in sheets and buckets and a gust of wind hit us so hard it almost spun the car around!  Luckily I am a true Maine woman and kept the car on the road and stopped under the closest over pass.  It wasn't until we got to the hotel 20 miles down the road that we found out that Tornado sirens had gone off.
We just turned on the weather channel after looking out the window and seeing the same type of clouds we did earlier.  They have put up a severe thunderstorm warning and put up that Tornados can form with little or now warning.  So needless to say I have to go.  No worries my friends we are Mainers and can deal with anything.
