The challenge is not only in developing a real estate with concrete and cement but also rounding it off by helping the residents attain their basic needs (roti kapda aur makan) in as close a proximity to mother nature as possible. “Our Global Eco City shall stand as an example of how a city can be designed in not only using less electricity but also for generating it in each home,” says Bhim Yadav, CEO of Falcon. The design is convincing and the building material that has been chosen for the purpose meets the requirements, he avers.
Yadav says Global Eco City is setting a new trend in living and lifestyle with its “world-class eco-friendly, selfsustainable, energy efficient, master planned community and green development”. The project is located along the National Highway-8 (Expressway), between Manesar and the industrial hub Bawal.
The strength of Global Eco City, besides its unique character, is its attractive location. Surrounded by seven mega-satellite towns, namely Bawal, Tapukra, Khushkhera, Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Shahjahanpur, and Behror, all on a 15-minutes drive along the Expressway, economic activity is bound to grow in the city.
Global Eco City: Overview
Falcon, which is developing the Global Eco City, believes in Walk to Work concept, which saves on time, money, energy and fuel. The combination of all these provides an opportunity to make lifestyle living affordable and natural. The city is being planned in such a fashion that it will be selfsustainable in water and energy. The USPs of the project are:
Ø Eco City is on a 45-minute signalfree route to IGI Airport in Delhi. It falls within the Golden Triangle (Delhi-Jaipur-Agra) of the Tourism Map of India, and is part of the National Capital Region (NCR)
Ø 30 minutes away from Reliance SEZ/Manesar
Ø Is approximately 10 minutes away from Honda Car Plant
Ø DMIC (Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor), or the dedicated freight corridor, at Bawal is only 5 minutes away
Ø JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and RICCO are highly active in this zone
Eco City is a secured and gated complex, with the internal roads 80 feet wide - there are naturally shaded walkways and biking zone as well. The place has green, clean and pollution-free and garbage-free zones, separated by multiple-use tracks, having loads of oxygen generating zones, and low-density housing only adds up to its charm.
Self-sustainable and energy efficient
Solar energy has the potential to not only meet the power needs at Global Eco City but also enables it to stand out as an example of self-sustainable, energy-efficient and eco-friendly construction amongst contemporary Green Developments.

Green development
The developers have a plan to plant 30 lakh trees and plants within the campus to fight against the effects of global warming. Waste will be recycled to prepare organic manure and the organic manure produced here would be used in producing organic farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.
Organic food: Studies suggest that healthy organic food reduces risk of diseases by 60%. Global Eco City claims its residents will be saved from consuming the chemically treated milk, fruits and vegetables and that they will get fresh organic fruits, vegetables, eggs, etc, all coming from Global Eco City’s organic farms.
Transport: In a move to counter global warming and cut down on petroleum usage, the project aims at the following:
Ø To pool people from their place of work to Global Eco City in airconditioned shuttle buses, at 60 to a trip
Ø These buses to run on CNG
Ø Eco-friendly shuttle buses to Metro stations and airports
Design & architecture:
Global Eco City has been designed by a dedicated team of 20 architects with a simple brief - make this a self-sufficient city, with extraordinary amenities, affordable housing, and lucrative investments opportunities, promoting the best in business and housing. Yadav says that his team of architects endeavored to:
Ø Conceptualize, formulate, design and choose ecofriendly material to minimize site waste
Ø Minimize energy consumption and promote water economy
Ø To minimize the effect of building on the environment
Ø Create landscaping with a vibrant golf course
