There is so much need in the country, but I suppose that could be said about any country, Myanmar particularly is a needy Country given the political situation there, and the difficulties for the peoples. Tibet, Laos and Vietnam similarly have their own problems too, yet Yunnan siting between them all seems to be a focal point where all intersect, and where a hub of support, love and care, could be delivered from.
Since being here I have heard so much about how the life for the ethnic minorities has improved over the last ten years, that I am left asking what life must have been like before those so called improvements. Obviously due to the sensitivities, I have not been able to make contact with more remote peoples and specifically related groups, however I am encouraged by the contacts that I have met and the possible ongoing works that can be established with such peoples.
My heart for the peoples and the nations, has truly been struck by the life which they are living, the needs they have, the concerns and logistical problems of meeting and delivering such needs, but I am convinced that they have the capacity to deal with such problems, and that it would not be a case of foreigners interfering, rather a case of supporting needy individuals, villages and peoples through Human Capacity Development, as they journey towards a greater good and a life of freedom, in the light of good news.
