Wednesday, June 30
After some excellent advice from my professional wine advisor (Carolynn McMahan), we stopped in a little wine city called Healdsburg which is about an hour north of Napa. We went to three different wine tastings, and each one was unique and delicious. We went to Longboard, Thumbprint, and our favorite Williamson. We soaked in some wine knowledge and headed to the coast. Driving the Pacific Coast was beautiful, and we looked for a place to set up camp. The search was unsuccessful and we headed towards San Francisco. We stopped at a Marriot. Haha

Thursday, July 1
After a fantastic night of sleeping at the Marriot, we drove into San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge (FYI $6 Toll). We found this amazing Climbing gym with 55 foot climbing walls, weights, cardio machines, showers, and saunas! Ate lunch at the San Francisco Soup Company in the financial district, and headed to Fisheremans Wharf. The Wharf was pretty cool and touristy, basically a carnival. I did get to see a seagull dive-bomb a litlle kid and steal his hot dog right out of the bun. Nice. We took a peek at Lombard Street (the windy, steep, flowery road), and headed to Yosemite. The drive was difficult, but the scenery was prettttty good. We made a poor choice of biking down a trail that was exactly what the sign said, "strenuous". All the campgrounds were full, but we found this awesome lodge right outside the park called the Evergreen Lodge.

Friday, July 2
After an amazing night stay at the Evergreen Lodge outside Yosemite, Charlie and I headed out to explore the park a little bit before getting back on the road. We checked out the Hetch Hetchy Dam and waterfall, BridalVail Waterfall, and drove through the Valley to see Yosemite Falls. We got back onthe road and headed to San Diego. By the way, interesting fact, gas is now around $3.25.

Saturday, July 3
Hanging out with Bonnie and Mike in San Diego for the day. Thanks so much for everything! Y'all are awesome hosts.
Sunday, July 4th
After some Taco Surf (best burrito I have ever had), Bonnie, Charlie, and I headed to the San Diego Zoo. The Zoo was extensive and amazing. Even though most animals were either pooping or sleepng, the exibits were great and the animals exotic. Heading to Vegas. Should arrive when fireworks are going off. Happy 4th everybody!
