Yay for March ! Things are still going well here in Cotonou, and just this Monday we were given the go ahead on a big project. We'll be launching an event on the beach to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, talk about modes of transmission and types of prevention, hand out prizes, have hopefully a local band, some drums, some soccer, it should be awesome, but dealing with the slowness of the computers and the lack of programs is limiting our productivity... working hard! And at the same time the NGO has given us weekly activities pretty much every day of the week, which means we've got a double dose of work. When it rains it pours! This weekend we've got a barbeque with Oxfam and Sunday off to Porto Novo to see that group, should be decent.
Just yesterday we spent our first day out in the public with a kiosk/booth for our NGO Racines
Lots of things to do in the near future and I will keep you posted!
Cheers
Sam.

Canon Child
. We had a tape player to draw people in (which we didn't need but was cool anyhow!) Spent the day talking about the NGO, and what they do, that they offer free HIV/AIDS testing, and of course what HIV/AIDS is, the modes of transmission, and how to prevent yourself from getting the virus, we were demonstrating and talking about the use of condoms... some people thought it was great, some laughed at us, some thought it was ridiculous... We probable dealt with and saw close to 400 people in only an hour and half, it was great, also tiring at the same time.Lots of things to do in the near future and I will keep you posted!
Cheers
Sam.
