Hey again!

Things are going well, and settling in nicely to life here in Africa... getting used to the busy-ness, and at the same time the slowness associated to anything you want to accomplish! Had a good weekend away with the group to Grand-Popo, and spent a wonderful day with the Beninois Youth yesterday talkinh about HIV/AIDS, the definition, modes of transmission, levels of prevention, also the difficulties associated with getting youth in Benin to want to and to follow through with HIV/AIDS testing.. Very interesting to see and here the differences in what we Canadians think and know, versus here in Benin. The youth are pretty smart and are going to be a pleasure to work with. I'm going to try now and upload some photos..more to come.

Hi Sam, great pics! I love the one of grandma Rose. She looks like a woman with alot of character. Sounds like you are settling in quite well and I'm sure you will make a lasting impact on the young people you are with in Benin. Have a great adventure......and keep us posted.
