Spring is arriving

when I stepped off the train on tuesday morning, I could not believe what I saw. The snow had melted. the sun was shining. warm air surrounding me. i felt such vigor, such vitality, such joy of life.
spring feelings. today i took a run through the city. i actually put on my running shoes, dressed up like a runner, and ran through down-town. on my way I met some fellow runners. maybe one or two within one hour. there are not so many parks in the city center. asphalt everywhere. if you have bad knees, the place is not good for outside sports. maybe i will get bad knees as well, if I continue runnig here. it was such a bliss. sunshine and warmth everywhere. soft and warm air of spring is arriving in st petersburg. the ice is melting. water is dropping from the roofs. birds are singing songs while they are floating down the river, sitting on pieces of ice.
the houses here look gigantic. from far away, it seems like i run through ancient Rome. only when I get closer to the facades, I can discern, how dirty they actually are. the from the cars have a disastrous effect on the beautiful architectural substance of the city. moreover, i have internet in my dorm now. i figured out a way how to connect through my celly. it is slow and expensive, i will eat some oranges less, and it should be fine :-). if anyone ever needs internet here, go to the Beeline Office. you can find it on Êîííîãâàðäåéñêèé á-ð, ä.3 it's close to the red club. just ask for a GPRS connection. somehow someone will assist you. don't be afraid when they don't talk to you. just stay there until somebody does. :-)
