I just woke up. As I'm writing this it's raining. Paris at its best. It's raining quite often in love's metropolis. Water is running down the street, resembling the noise of a creak. City workers, dressed in yellow and green, use the flowing wet to clean the street.
Mari is still asleep. She worked on her thesis till two am this morning. I got up as early as eight o'clock and switched on my computer. Since I got this new camera, I take more pictures than I could ever edit. It feels weird, editing pictures on the same computer I use when I'm at work. I would prefer the dark room. I miss the good times I had in there.
Work is work. People there are actually human beings. Unlike in Germany, where the majority of my colleagues tries to gain some kind of advantage behind your back while pretending to be all nice and friendly in front of you (which is one of the reasons why work-life is seperated from professional life in Germany).
Alex was here last week. I was so tired, I couldn't take any pictures. He took a lot. You can find them on his travelpod. Here is the link:Alex' travelpod. We had a wonderful time together. We didn't meet for more than one year. He did some extensive traveling and so did I. So we talked and drank a lot and just enjoyed being together :-).
Of course I took some pictures on that weekend, but I decided to update all the other stuff first. I would now like to take you on a walk through Paris. Enjoy the pictures and please let me know what you think about them. Although I can't reply all the mail instantly, I'm reading and enjoying it and will write to you. Thanks for all the support :-). Now slide through those photos ... !
PS: Thanks to Gilles Peterson, who makes most of my work possible by putting his great music online. Check it out:Gilles Peterson at BBC!!!
