After an unspectacular flight via Copenhaven, I arrived in Helsinki last night. Needless to say that Mari and I were happy to be back together. After we had waited a couple of minutes  at the bus station, a nice finnish bus took us to the city centre (Bus No 615 brings you directly to the main train station).

From there we took a taxi (10€) to our hostel. Mari was heavily loaded, since she is taking most of her stuff back to Germany. Our hostel is a really nice place. Love the atmosphere. The kitchen is really well equiped, there is free wireless internet for those who carry their own lap-top. TV in every room. Finnish TV is all in English with Finnish subtitles.

After our arrival, we met up with Kari and Empu (2 cool finnish guys). Kari and I met in Russia. He traveled quite a bit during the last six months and told us all about it. At some point we were all so tired that we decided to go to sleep and hang together later.

Helsinki is quite warm these days. Temperatures are above zero and we don't expect any snow for Christmas. Once again, this is global warming's fault (i.e. this is our own fault). I wonder whether ten years later we all gonna celebrate Christmas in bikinis and shorts.

Well, if you come to Helsinki, however, you should check out this hostel ( As many of you requested a photograph of Mari and I, here we are. Merry Christmas!

Whats up Basty
Hey My Man,

It's your younger more handsom brother, Brandon, how have you been? It would appear you've been traveling quite a bit, which is good. I'm in Japan right now, and it is beautiful. It's smaller than the state of California, and has over half the poplulation of the United States, crammed into 17% of the islands land area, but thats good, because that means lots of hottie Japanese chicks. Well, I'll try to keep in contact with you. Take it easy, and be safe. I love you bro.
