We spent two days driving along the Great Ocean Road and it really was great! The sea views were stunning and the camp site we stayed at was just brilliant. There were wild Koalas living in the trees all around the camp site and one had a very cute baby clinging to its back.

We also found a way to talk to the Koalas and get them to look up from their usual sleeping positions... making pig and snoring type noises! Jon was better than me! During the night you could hear the males making a real racket. There were also King Parrots that we hand fed, they liked Jon's head as a perch and polished off our fruity bread.

Apart from the wildlife, the highlight of the Great Ocean Road was the 12 Apostles (although there aren't 12 any more). These are huge rock columns rising up from the sea which are gradually being eroded by the crashing sea. The views were amazing, the only drawback was the number of tourists... despite hardly seeing any other cars along the road the car park here was packed full of coaches and getting a good photo was hard.

We also stopped at a light house which was where 'Round the Twist' was filmed, I remember it as a kid but Jon doesn't and we did a short forest walk. We spotted quite a few wild koalas and walked to another lovely waterfall.
