The train was late getting into Rome, which put the kaibash on seeing the Vatican. We still managed to see quite a bit although it was all quite rushed. Rome is amazing and I wish we had more time. Everywhere you turn there are ruins to explore.
It's odd to see a Pizza Hut right next to the Pantheon, a structure that was built in 27 B.C. Or to turn a corner and see the Coliseum. Rome is strange that way. You constantly discover very old structures in the middle of all the modern day sprawl. It's kind of sad.
We'll try to see the Vatican tomorrow morning before heading to Vencie.
