Had a decent sleep, no thanks to a mystery snorer.  The first day in Paris was kind of lame.  Bad hotel, really hot weather and kind of a lame, dirty neighborhood.  But we walked up to the Basilica of the Sacre Coeur which afforded prime views of Paris.

Also filled with obnoxious people trying to sell you bracelets.  Took a walk downtown and just looked around.  Had a great meal and a bottle of wine before heading back up to the hotel.  Spent the evening back at the Sacre Coeur watching fireworks from the grass lawn.  I'm not sure what the occasion was, but there were tons of people there.
