I arrived to Auckland with out knowing where I'm going to spend the night, and after the bad night I had in Hong - Kong airport and the two nights on flights, that was an important thing.
So I did what people advice me to do. I bought a SIM card and tried to call the HIT(Hosting Israeli Travelers) manager in the city to find me a place to sleep. Needless to say that I could berly understand her English through the phone and the name of the street that was also very weird to my ears.
In the end I arrived to the Mashiah House just in time to get some rust before the gathering. The gathering is a meeting of some Cristine people that believe that the Israelis are the chosen people and Joshuah is the Messiah. In that Saturday gathering they sing song that are part Hebrew and part English. Most of the songs are connected to the Bible and the people of Israel. It was a lovely evening even those I didn't know what I'm getting myself in to
The next morning I sat out to the city center to start and work on my ride out of Auckland. I didn't find any, and it is not like I didn't try. I had better luck the day after that. On that day I opened three opportunities on my own and find another one through the HIT manager. The last was my ride for all the north island and the beginning of the south. Thanks to Eyal to let me take the ride in his car.
After I met Eyal, an Israeli guy form Ber - Shava. I moved to the place where he stays at Judy and Gery's house, a beautiful place in the suburbs of Auckland. We started to plan our way up north the same day, with help from Judy and some weird advises form Gery. We means mostly Eyal cause it didn't really bothered me where we are going and he had a good plan. It took as two days to get started and we were off north on highway 16 following the twin cost discovery.
