Cliff of Moher

Again, I wanted to experience the countryside and I picked Galway. Galway is a beautiful, little town with cobbled streets on the west coast of Ireland. While roaming through the city, I met Ken by luck who happened to be a tour guide for Galway. Friendly and helpful by nature, Ken gave me the full tour of the city without even me asking for one. As you can all agree, you won't find Ken in Los Angeles.

Cliff of Moher

Galway is a pleasant town to visit, but most people come here to take a day trip to Doolin which is famous for Cliff of Moher. (doesn't it sound like something out of Lord of the Rings?) Hence, I woke up early the next morning, only to miss the shuttle to the bus station while conversing with my new German friend Freidenke aka Freddy. Freddy and I had to run as fast as we could to the station to avoid the biggest f-up. Well, maybe not the worst, but the tour took the whole day and this was my last day here in Galway. I don't remember running that hard ever in my life but it was well worth the effort, catching the bus in the nick of time. Gasping for air inside the bus, it felt like an episode from the Amazing Race.

Stone Grave - 2000B.C

The weather was very typical Irish weather, gray, drizzling and bit foggy. The tour bus took the road along the scenic coast of Ireland. To the left of the bus, you see the picturesque green field confirming the Irish claim "Greenland." To the right, open view of the ocean is exposed to the delighted tourists taking snapshots at every given opportunity. After hour and a half into the ride, we finally arrived at the Cliff of Moher. Anxiously hiking to the top of the cliff, it certainly did not disappoint and no words or pictures will ever do its justice. It sheer size and the shape of the cliff caused by thousand years of erosion, Cliff of Moher is an absolute must-see if ever in Ireland.
