I arrive at the SFO and head to the AirTran counter. The lady behind the counter has a Hawaiian name. Laulinini or something
like that. I commented that her name was pretty and told my son
was going to school at Hilo (College on the big island). I go to check in and the lady cant find my info. Then she finds that I made my reservations for the 14th not the 15th. All of a sudden I'm thinking I am not going anywhere. After I asked what I could do she gave me a couple options that were all 400+. Then she walked into the back and talked o her manager and BOOM, I was on the same flight but the next day NO COST. I gave her a $20 and was on my way.
Once I got to the line to board the plane I found out it wasn't BOOM, I was on stand by with 5 people, I was number 3, there was 4 no shows, so I made it on the plan with 1 spot gravy.
So now I am on an over crowded plane headed to Atlanta Georgia. The guy next to me was a Jesus Freak, he had a jacket on that said. "got my God." On the AirTran planes they have Satellite Radio and of course this guy was all excited because satellite radio has religious music and he was singing, clapping next to me the entire flight. To give everyone a real perspective of this gentleman he was black man from the south. And he was in the middle seat and he was bigger then me. I had to set with a 20 degree list the entire flight. All I could do was laugh the entire time. I know that this trip is going to be interesting.
This was the diet flight, we had a 4.5 hour flight and they served 3 grahm crackers and 2 hours later gourmet pretzels (like the 100 calorie snack bags from the slim-fast collection)
In any case I landed in Atlanta and headed to my next flight. For the most part it was un-eventful
Once on the plane I sat next to a nurse from Atlanta, she was a cardiac specialist, this was the kind of nurse you wake up to in the movies, beautiful face long curly sandy brown hair. I'm thinking this is the kind of woman that men have woken up to and found a reason to live. In any case I finaly had a chance to get some sleep. I ran into her again out side waiting for her friend to pick her up and she was smoking. oooooooo bummer, how do people in the medical field still smoke? Anway I was in Washington DC and waiting for my Ride
