ok so i just spent an hour typing and the computer erased it all. i want you all to know i am ok but it is too expensive to spend another hour here. i will write it tonight again and download tomorrow. this weekend was fun and i learned a lot about the stereotype that faces americans. very interesting. the park was great and i saw a ton of animals and the sunscreen advice was the best of all, papa! i am in monteverde now and my host family is fine and so is school. lots to write so i will get home and study and write for about my weekend. There is a funny story about bargain shopping and how it is not always the best idea. That whole you get what you pay for thing, you know?

if you have time do a search for monteverde bank robbery and it should pull up something about what happened here last friday. a block from my house, if that. a girl from my school was in the bank and was shot and held hostage for 38 hours. she is ok but 9 people died and many more were shot. now there are many big men with big guns in the streets so i guess that is a good thing albiet a little wierd. it was the biggest robbery in costa rican history. everything else is good. it is really beautiful here. school is fine and the only thing that really bugs me is this damn keyboard which i canīt seem to figure out. lots of tourists here. ok, i will write tomorrow and also download another posting. it is a special someoneīs birthday tomorrow so she can expect an email from auntie! love ya and hope you werenīt worried. hasta manana
