I had my first experience today trying to set up meetings in Nairobi. Often times the phone number doesn't work the first time or the information is incorrect on the business cards. We'll see how long this will take to get some good meetings in! I was able to get one set up for tomorrow and hopefully the rest will roll in once I get the hang of it!

In the mean time, it's officially the start of the rainy season, according to my taxi driver. "It's starting early this year, but we always say the rainy season has come after 3 days of rainstorms in a row." Bring it on. See a picture of my neighborhood in Kilimani after the rainstorm. It's also been raining through the nights, which provides absolutely lovely sleeping weather and background noise! I love being surrounded by the cleansing and constant sound of rain at night, accompanied by the fresh smell and cool breeze!

Throughout the rain, I've been sipping on African coffee and eating Polish chocolate. Surprisingly, the cheapest dark chocolate in the grocery stores here has a suspicious name that my eyes instantly gravitated to: Czekolada Gorzka. It's dark chocolate from Poznan, Poland! I've never seen the brand, Terravita, in Poland...but it's a welcome treat for night-time blog updates here in Nairobi :)
