What I really like in Paraguay apart from the mess at the border with the custom officer, is that you get the feeling to be the only tourist of the country. First any people in the street is just very helpful trying his best to explain you the direction or very keen to speak with a foreigner.
As I come during the start of the winter and as the Paraguay is not the preferred destination of the tourists, you have the feeling of our elders who first traveled when it was not so easy to travel and where the population just welcome you or look at you as an Allen.
For me, it was few month that I did not have this feeling of traveling again and it's quite nice catch up with it.
I came for the visit of the town, thinking that I could hang up around till the end of the day and take a boat to go to Conception the following day nut I discover that there were no other boat till the Wednesday and as I did not really want to stay there till the boat come I took the decision in the morning to go by bus to Conception and to do the trip in the other sens.
Finally I left quite quickly the town and I went to Conception in the evening.
In the bus, I sat near by a Paraguayan girl and we discussed during all the trip: quite funny to see that she did not know about huge communities who are leaving in her country in the west and other things about her country. Anyway, was very nice to get a feed back about a local and was quite nice also to get a full conversation in Spanish.
