Where I stayed
Vayama village
As the journey in Club med is not really in my budget even with a very good discount, I left my friends and I went in another Island or I should say an Atoll. The difference came from the fact that after some time the center of the island inside the lagoon just decrease till disappearing in the lagoon. At the end there is only a kind of ring of beach and palm tree and a huge lagoon in the center.
So I went to Fakara with the advice of Julia a friend of a friend living in Papeete that I will met for the first time in few days. I was looking a place to dive and to relax a little like a Marco Crusoe and I found this place.
There is on all the Atoll 500 inhabitant (including tourist).
I arrive in the end afternoon and I found a nice pension to spend the night before to go to another one the day after a lot cheaper.
At least it was nice to see this pension as the owners were very nice and interesting: we discuss with them and 2 teachers of the different possibility of the island and they convince me to do a boat trip to the south of the Atoll in a Motu of pink sand.
There are only teachers traveling in french Polynesia or people working for the government in french Polynesia. As the life cost is very high, the french government give astronomical salaries to compensate it: to give an example a teacher will earn almost twice the salary of a veterinary (liberal profession)...
