I woke up with the sound of the factory of the Mordor, I had to walk this way which would bring me to the beginning of all this. I did not know which creature I should find on my way, but the mist and the fog which were coming from the hole in front of the Mordor looked suspicious, almost supernatural... Enough with the Lord of the ring, but I can understand now how Peter Jackson was inspired to burn the trilogy of the Lord of the ring in New Zealand.
For information: the mount Ngauruhoe (the highest one on the pictures) was the mount that they used for the mordor mount where the ring was done in the book and the movie.
I left the Waihohonu hut at 7am before the sunrise on the mountain, and I had during the first hour of this hiking day the pleasure to be alone one more time with the nature: the sun rise progressively on the top of the 2 mountains and warming the ground with the ice and water of the plant which promptly sublime in light fog.
I walked again quite quickly as I did not know if I could go to the 2 lakes ( a side trek of 1h30 on the paper) and if I could still catch my bus latter on. The result is that I arrive 1 hour in advance and I had all the time for a second breakfast on the top of the mountain which separate the 2 lakes.
After that I knew that I was on time for my bus and I take it easy to Whakapapa village (the end of my trek)
I even get the time to sleep a little near by a small river.
Then I catched my bus to come back to Taupo.
I took the last rays of the sun on the shore of the lake Taupo before to eat a fish and ships who feed my enough to look Charly and chocolatery on the TV of my backpacker hotel and to gently fall asleep.
