I went to take a breakfast in a cafe near by my hostel and I started to here some people shouting, I went to see and I assist to the end of a Aka sing and dance in front of the sun as a morning welcoming or start of the day for some inhabitant of Napier. I knew after that, that my day could only be good. I took the bus to Taupo without knowing really what I should do there. In the bus, my neighbor spoke about what should be the more beautiful hike of New Zealand and maybe of the world (it was a Kiwi speaking... but will see could be true). When I arrived in Taupo, I booked for the BBQ of the evening ;-) and l rent a bike.
I did not know again but the man told me that there was a track of mountain bike not too far near the river. I went there and I discover on the best moutain bike track that I ever done (in same time I did not do a lot before) the track was full of fast part, way in the forest, plenty of turn jump etc... After 3 hours of biking: I was dead and I thought it was a really good idea to get my legs completely dead to start a 2 days hike the day after...
Hopefully, I was rewarded by the BBQ.... and a free beer coming with: what can I ask more.
I went early to bed in order to wake early the day after for my tramping.
