After another ride from Dunedin, we arrived to Moeraki boulders: some giant boulders of stone coming from the sedimentation around some shells. These boulders layed down on the beach like giant snow balls giving an impression of meteorites on the beach.
Then we came near by Mount Cook to arrive finally to Tekapo Lake. When we arrived I rent a mountain bike and I ask which I could take with. The lady from the reception gave me a map and show me a way. With my map I left the hostel but the way that she show me was a way to do some hiking not to do some biking... I had to carry the bike during more than 30 min as it was impossible to ride it, then I arrived to a place where I could ride it in the middle of the grass for sheep: the only issue came from the small balls with sticks which scratch you and which stick to your clothes. Anyway I found a way out and I tried to take the first road that I ve seen in order to came back: there was a BBQ at my hostel and I m never late for a BBQ... The road that I took was climbing a hill to the top to a star observatory: very nice but hard to go to the top and then I realize that it was not the good road and that the BBQ would start soon: I did a race with the cars which were going this stip hills and I arrive 5 min late for th BBQ. Hopefully they did not start to cook the meat and I had a very nice diner. As we were far from any big city we were rewarded with a splendid night of stars.
