I left afterward doing the less noise that I could and with my head torch light, I started to walk in the dark on the wooden way. They made almost on all the way a kind of road with wooden plate: sometime the plate make a perfect way but sometimes you just walk on one and the water below just splash on you. During the the walk the way sometime was so bad with the permanent rain that I was walking just on the side of the way and of course a ranger came just at this moment. She told me during 15 min to walk on the way to not endanger the park and that mud is not armful. In same time I thing she saw my Chinese tissue style shoes and she get a little of pity with me: in any case I did not have a ticket for that

.In the afternoon I had some sun rays and I understood that this park must be splendid with good weather: will be an opportunity to come back in Tasmania latter on.
I cover 3 times the normal distance but at the end of the day with a painful foot (maybe my shoes where not the best) I stop in an intermediary hut: Duncan hut.This hut is an emergency hut and no one stop there for the night. I had my hut in the middle of the forest only for me and the wallabies.
I had every day a ham of 600 g and some bread more plenty of side dishes and in the night feeling plenty of life in this hut, I catched everything in the air.
The day before one woman told me that a possum entered in her hut, opened one the food bag and began to eat the food. She woke up and tried to make him leave and he bited her at the finger... I did not want to reproduce the same scenario and I slept in the higher bed during the night.
