Time to come back to my blog.
I ve stopped my Chinese course and from now, I will study by myself.
I knew it would be difficult and I was right. Specially as my teacher wanted to teach me not only how to speak but also how to write and read... These last days, i was working around 8or 9 hour a day to try to progress. At the end of these weeks of Chinese, the result is not so great, i ve learn a lot of vocabulary but it s still very difficult to do good sentence and even more difficult to be understood by Chinese people. One additional difficulty is that they have in each part of China a kind of different dialect which make even more difficult to understand.
Anyway, I did not give up, I will just study to my speed.
So by now, I begin to think again to my next destination
Songpan to go to do a horse trek of 4 or 5 days starting next Tuesday the 4th
a quick return to Chengdu to say good by to some friends and then to take the direction of Yunnan
with Shangrila, Dali, Lijiang, and Kunming to then try to cross the Burman border.
As I don t have course anymore, I will try to visit a little more Chengdu and all around
I will go in 2 days to the Grand Buddha in Leshan
And tonight I will see a friend of the family Tao that my parents and some friend met few years ago and who even came to Gueret (my home town)
We will Hotpot the Chengdu specialty. You have a lot of food meat and vegetable and you make it cooked in a boiling spicy salsa. The point is that foreigner they are giving a pot divided in 2 : one spicy and the other one non spicy. I forget to tell that the sichuan is famous to be the more spicy part of China. If you don t ask for not spicy (and it s always spicy) you burn your mouth and your lips and tong are completely numb for few hours...
