Today I met Jun a friend of Jean Remy, who invite me to visit another part of Tokyo
We went to the museum of Edo, about the history of Tokyo and the Japan civilization where you can see reproduction of the traditional house in a building in the shape of a traditional shoe In the museum, you learn about the emperor, the shogun, the main Japanese families, and about the organization of life during the last centuries : samurai, sellers, workers etc... You learn also about Edo flowers: all the disasters like fire, earthquake, and overflow which destroyed Tokyo many time, they were quite common in the past and also the main destruction of the Japan cities during WW2
When we went out of the museum, we came near by the Ryogoku Kokugikan, the stadium where there are the Sumo competitions, and fortunately today was their training day: we could see them from outside It's funny to think that the current champion of Japanese Sumo is from Mongolia. It was also for me an introduction for the spectacle of Kabuki that we went to see in the afternoon: it's a representation of actors (only man even for woman role) in the traditional style: old costumes and make up and drama, comedy and martial art: very fun. Currently the Kabuki stars are in Japan as important than television or movie stars Unfortunately I had no more battery in my camera: so no pictures...
Jun invited me to eat the lunch and the dinner in Japanese restaurant with the famous Japanese sens of welcoming, the day was one more time perfect! More thumbnails ...
