I went in Ryokan (old style hotel) very nice, with the rice paper door and window, with wood everywhere.
I m living in the quarter of Ikebukuru as you can read on the first picture (map of the train station of Tokyo) it s a business quarter where there is also the biggest shop in the world on 9 floors each floors on the size of a supermarket in France...
I first went in Kaminarimon the thunder gate with Kazu a friend of Marie that I ve met in Russia, behind the gate there is a long street where you can buy all sort of goods from the food to the kimono etc... When you continue you arrives to the temple of steps.
Kazu introduce me with the rituals:
- pictures 15 to 18, you first check a box full of sticks, then you extract one stick where it is written the name of a wooden box, then you check which wooden box it correspond and you open it to pick up your paper with your future written on it, if you like it: you keep it otherwise, you fold it and you catch it on a bar.
-picture 19: you purify your body, your hand and your head with the smoke
-picture 20: same with the water
-picture 21: you throw a coin and then you flex twice, you clap your hands twice and then you make a wish flex with your hands joined
Then we went in an amusement park, but unfortunately I did not try the Panda kart ( a little too old)
Finally, we went in Akihabara where young people are dressing like in manga, a very nice place also to buy cheap computer and listen music, there are a lot of artist in the street, and before to go to sleep we went in a Suchi bar with the plate turning on a conveyor all around the place: the perfect day!!
