The 9th of may is the celebration of the day of the victory against the Germans during WW2, I've hesitated a long time between Peter and Moscow to see it, but when I've learned that it was not possible to see it in Moscow without ticket given to a very restricted number of VIP, I ve done my choice.
At the end it was Ok in Peter some Military walk and fire works in the evening. The military walk was late and the fire works not so great but the show was more on Peter inhabitant where it was very impressive to see that they were very proud to be Russian, to be from Peter and also with a great respect for the military and the veteran.
During the day, I bought my ticket for the Moscow: always an intense moment in train station where you arrive to the front office after a line of 30 min and the the woman behind the desk discover that you are not able to speak in Russian..
And then many museum with a very nice weather: the perfect tourist day
In a museum, like l'Hermitage in Peter, you have a jugful number of any painting if we compare with France: for example, when you will get 1 or 2 painting of a painter her you will find 20 of the same painter and you can go very close to the painting if you want: you can almost touch the painting of a Picasso.
Just before the fire works, I went to supper in the flat of Dima and Anna ( the Russian that et in the train form Murmansk) they were my guide during the day to go to Pushkin suburb where there is the Queen palace.
During the diner they gave me the traditional Russian food and drinks...vodka.
They where leaving in the suburbs of Peter far from the very beautiful center, in their suburb, it was possible to find the same kind of building that I found in Murmansk soviet square building as her there were no tourist...
I must have to thanks them a lot as they were very friendly for me as they just gave me a lot of their time and hospitality.
I spoke also with other Russian during the day with very open discussions: speaking about the Russian mafia. They were explaining that if someone wants to open a business, he has to ask first to the mafia if they agree and then, if they agree, he must ask for their protection (against them...) in exchange of money. That if you don t have the capital, they propose to borrow you some money in exchange to become shareholder...
After these few days Im going through the night to Moscow between the 10th and the 11th
