We arranged a climbing weekend in Snowdonia - and knowing that the weather an be pretty cruel in Wales we waited patiently for spring before going.  We might as well have gone in mid-winter... we had sleet, snow and high winds one day.  Thankfully the next day the sun came out  - such a vairety of weather in such a short space of time.
