Superb week of sunshine and light winds sailing a Dufor 30 in Turkey with a different crew each day.

This trip was my idea of "sailing heaven" - Late every afternoon we moored up and stepped back onto terra firma to be served "tea & cakes" at 5.30pm.

We would then have a game of tennis to stretch our legs (you don't get a lot of exercise sat on a yacht all day), followed by a cool shower to freshen up, then a healthy dinner of salads and fresh BBQ'd fish

.... and best of all... a decent night's sleep in a real bed in an air conditioned hotel room...
This is all very different from the usual sailing experience of snatching a few hours sleep between watches in a stiflingly hot, damp, salty bunk.
There was very little wind all week (force 2 to 5 depending on the time of day.... it was only ever windy at 3pm!) but perfect weather for sunbathing on deck. We had one moment of excitement when a fire-fighting helicopter decided to collect water by hovering over the boats creating an interesting down draught..... Does anyone know how to set the sails when the wind is coming from directly overhead???
