Arriving in Brisbane after our weekend of partying we wanted a nice small quiet place to stay to 'chill out' and we found it at Aussie Way Backpackers. We spent yesterday by the poolside and enjoyed our 'shared apartment' with 3 other couples, it's just like being at home.. they even have Coronation St (although it's about 2 years old) and 'How clean is your house' on UKTV!!! Today we've explored the city a bit more and found a great 'Kylie' exhibition with lots of her costumes from tours, videos etc and awards, platinum records/CDs etc.. they even had the famous gold hotpants (50p) from the 'spinning around' video and the best thing about the exhibit was it was free (great for all you Kylie fans). Seeing the outfits made you realise just how tiny Kylie is. We also had a walk around the South Bank area which has a man-made beach and pool area right next to the river bank... a great idea for Manchester (if we ever had any sun). We then saw Kangaroo Point Cliffs and a few more areas of the city including the Paddington area. Brisbane seems like a nice city and we have been treated to some really sunny weather (despite the nightly thunderstorms) and been staying in a lovely hostel.

Just thought weŽd let you know that weŽve taken ur advice and are heading for the Galapagos islands!! We are getting a 25 hour bus to Equador tomorrow night then flying out hopefully by the end of the week, we canŽt wait!! You two look like youŽre still havin a ball, more pics of Mandy though please!! (Kerry says she wants more of Paul, canŽt think why though!!)
