Yet another 'At Sea' day. Angie was up before me so went and had breakfast and relaxed on deck. I was up around 9:30 and had the usual breakfast.
After breakfast, went to the lounge and started working on the blog. I really hate getting behind, but there’s just way too much to do (and I’m not really doing much, go figure).
After working on the blog for a couple of hours (and doing other ‘uninteresting’ things) it’s time for lunch. After lunch we start to get ready for the wine launch today at 2:15PM.
Today is a special day throughout the whole Celebrity fleet as this is the day they launch the release of the latest batch of Beaujolais Nouveau. This red wine is to be drunk young. The launch takes place ’officially’ at one second past midnight on the third Thursday of each November, but because the old people here need to get their sleep, the launch takes place on Celebrity ships mid-afternoon.
The keg is paraded in and uncorked.
There is wine flowing everywhere and it’s unlimited. We sat with a couple from California who are now living in Arizona. Angie and I land up have quite a bit of wine. She left early to get to her scrapbooking class, while I stayed (and drank more wine).
I had to get to Milos’ presentation for 3:00PM (I made it). Today he’s talking about Sharks. Problem is, the wine hit me around 3:20 and I’m pretty sure I missed a good 20 minutes of the presentation (no I didn’t pass-out, just nodded off....there IS a difference).
Met up with Angie in the Cova Cafe after Milos, where I again tried to catch-up on the blog. Had a couple of cappuccino coffees while working on the blog, while Angie had some sort of weird latte.
Got ready for dinner. During dinner, the conversation centred around how much we all miss our pets. Martin and Susan have a few cats. Their dog died a couple of years ago and they would like another one but feel the dog may outlive them. They now do a lot of dog sitting and feel it’s the best of both worlds.
After dinner, we headed to the Constellation nightclub to see the chocolate buffet but it was fairly dead. Off to bed. Tomorrow is our last port of call...Cabo San Lucas.
