Siem Reap was fantastic! Every aspect of being there was a pleasure. Unfortunately, I have an unpleasant hunch, that within a few years the place will be so crawling with tourists that it will have lines like Disneyland. The food in Cambodia was very good. Similar to Thai, but less spicy. They also have a healthy french influence for a change from the local cuisine if your stay is long enough that you need one. The temples are fantastic. A three day pass costs US$40 but is probably the minimum that you would want in order to do the area justice. I believe that the week pass is US$60. Several temple complexes are currently under renovation by foreign firms so soon there will be even more sights restored.
