Well we've had another couple of busy todays and today isn't over.
Firstly though we would all like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope that 2008 brings everyone lots of joy and happiness.

Anyway, yesterday we headed up to Valencia to Six Flags Magic Mountain. If anyone doesn't know what that is you can check it out at http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/index.aspx
Basically it is a theme park full of rides and huge roller coasters. It was good when we first got there as were were able to get on rides with little or no wait. We went on Goliath, Colossus (which we renamed the Titty Jiggler) and Scream (and that we did). Rick surprised us by going on these three in a row as they were fast and had big drops and turns and two had loops++. Next Josh went on Grinder Gearworks by himself and then we went on (except Rick) Batman The Ride. Also went on Gold Rusher which was funny as these young kids thought that Alisha and I were terrified, it was so funny. It was busy after lunch so we only got to go on a couple of more rides as you had to wait for 2 hours per ride. We went on DeJavu which was absolutely terrifying and we all screamed and screamed on that one. My head was pounding when we got off. Next we did another long queue and went on the Tatsu. This is a ride like nothing we've ever seen. First you sit in your seats and get strapped in and the harness comes over you, you also have your lower legs restrained. Then the chairs tip and you are hanging from the top of the structure with your arms dangling and your face toward the ground. You head up the incline head first and you go up a very long way. The rest of the ride you spend going around head first, it is the most awesome ride ever. You are way up high then you see this gigantic loop under you and guess what, you go around that too, head first, like you are flying. Totally freaky. The girl next to me was hysterical and continued to cry and carry on after we stopped. Mind you, even when you do stop you are hanging like a rag doll for ages before they get you back in to the loading dock. It was late after that so we headed off for some tea and then came home.

Today is New Years Eve. We popped the TV on this morning while we were getting ready and saw the bringing in off the new year at Sydney Harbour, also saw it on tele tonight, they like showing that here. We are spending a few hours in before heading back out tonight to bring in the new year ourselves.
We went to Disneyland this morning and have made the most of the Fast Passes today. Us girls went back on the Buzz Ride while Rick and Josh waited at the Jedi Training Academy. We were off our ride in time to see the show. Josh was one of the children that was picked to participate in the show and he did the Jedi training. After the kids trained Darth Vader and Darth Mole came out to fight with them. The kids were put in 2 groups, Josh got to fight Darth Mole. He got a certificate afterwards to state he had completed the training. Next we went on the Autopia cars so we all have officially driven now in the US! After that we went on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride. Now this was an interesting ride as it broke down half way through and our train was stuck near the top of a hill. We had to remain in the train until someone came out and helped us off and then we had to be guided back out of the ride, through dark tunnels etc. Wasn't easy getting out either, we did get a free fast pass after that incident. We had lunch in the park, even got a chef to assist me today. Hoping that my meal was ok and not "poisoned" with gluten but so far so good. Funny how we don't have a lot of trust in people even when they do assure us about some things! We did go back on the ride that broke down later on and that time it didn't break down! We also went on the Pirates of the Carribean and the Haunted Mansion. Next we went over to the California Adventure Park. It was nowhere near as busy as Disneyland when we first went over but started to get busy just before we left. We had a little walk around and then got a fast pass for the Tower of Terrer ride. We went on the ride in the normal line then came out and went back on in the fast pass lane. Glenn told us he loved this ride and can see why. We screamed and giggled on this one. There are times when you don't know whether you are going up or coming down, even when you are being thrust out of your seat. That's another ride we'll be going back on! We also went on the Soaring Over California and then decided to come back to our room for tea. Going to let the girls spend some time on the computer and then will have to head back into the park for New Years.

Again, hope you all had a good New Years, thanks for the wishes too!

Happy New Year Folks!
Wow, what rides you have taken us on! We went onto the link you mentioned to check out the rides. Boy it makes things on the Gold Coast look pretty weak hey? I don't know how you can all manage to do them more than once. They look absolutely DANGEROUS. Anyway, sounds as though you had a blast of a time and are really enjoying yourselves. The last pictures you loaded were really good also. Loved you all in your mexican outfits with the Zonkey! Sounds as though you will definitely need more than a ute to pick you up from the airport. We had a great New Years Eve last night in at Elder Park in the City. It was a very warm balmy night - 35 degrees and has been so hot for too long now. Make the most of the cool weather you are having over there. Keep on having fun and we wish you all a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2008. Love, Robyn, Gary, Victoria & Tayla xx
