. It might as well have been in a back room. After losing all of the money we put down there, we started back towards the MGM Grand. After getting back there, we sat down in another Keno lounge (for more free drinks) where it finally happened. I won at a casino game. After dropping $10 on some cockamamie pattern that Celeste wanted to play, I had a vision. I played seven numbers (including Manny, Ted Johnson and Ray Bourque's numbers; all which came up) and managed to win $40. I put $20 aside as spoils of victory, and proceeded to blow the other 20 on more Keno. Overall: lost about $60, but won $40. Even though the magic of math shows that we left about $20 down, I couldn't care less. I can live off that $40 win for years. Oh, by the way; I plan to. $40$40$40$40$40$40$40$40$40$40$40.
Las Vegas Pt. 2: We rolled around Vegas for a bit, hitting up some casinos and doing some hardcore gambling. I mean, sitting at some slot machines so we can get free drinks from the Casinos. We started out the night walking around New York New York for dinner at "America". We then moved on to by far the crappiest casino we visited, the Excalibur. Picture a large castle that has not aged well at all. By far the sketchiest people were all there. The décor was basically a King Arthur theme applied to old school McDonald's construction principles. (Check the photo of me in front of the amazingly life-like dragon. Yeah, awesome.) We set out with $20 each for gambling and basically just started out popping a dollar in here and there. We decided to sit and spend a little time working a machine for a while. Celeste actually got up to $57 before completely crapping that away down to nothing. We then moved to a Keno lounge in the Luxor, which was as far away from the main part of the casino as possible
