Moving on to Melbourne to visit Gillian...

In rural Victoria we drove through old gold rush towns such as Kyneton - which has signs on lamposts saying 'Kyneton - great shopping', there were only about 8 shops and they didn't look much cop to us!
We arrived at some mineral springs where we drank some spring water from a rusty tap - mmm delicious!

To contrast with our rustic excursion, Gillian decided that I should sample some local nightlife - so off we went to see an AC/DC covers band. We rocked with the best of them and I resisted the local talent.

Luckily for me Gillian's parents live on the Great Ocean Road - so we drove south to stay with them for the night. We arrived in time to walk Gillian's dog along the beach at sunset, it was beautiful.

The next day we drove along the Great Ocean road to the Otways rainforest. There are stunning views across the ocean and the sea was perfectly turquoise and azure. At the Otways we took the Otways fly which is a metal walkway that goes through the rainforest at treetop/canopy level.

Hey Mandy

Like your journal so far, seems like we are starting a Mile High Passing Out Club! Who's next I wonder?
Looking forward to reading more and seeing more of your travels...

best of luck

Yikes. I should have written it down for you. A group of kangaroos is called a troop. But 'mob' does sound more apppropriate. The pics are great. I've sne tthe one of Saffy at sunset to the folks who are very impressed. Love, Gillian
