To all my lovers in California, you will be greatly missed!!!  As much as Ashley and I are excited about this trip, saying bye has been much harder than anticipated.  Thank you for all your love and support and know that no matter where we are in the world, a part of you guys will always be with us.

We will try our best to keep this blog as updated as possible with photos and details of our travels so that you can share this experience with us.  Currently, Ashley is in the Philippines, and I will be flying out on Jan 3rd to Shanghai, China.  Ashley will be meeting me in Shanghai on Jan 9th.  We are not going through any schools or organizations and we have no set itinerary.  Our tentative plan is to travel around in China, then off to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and wherever else the wind takes us.  We hope to find organizations, schools and just people to help and connect with along the way and to take all that this world has to offer and to give all of ourselves.  Please do not worry for us for we will take care and watch out for each other the whole trip. 

Our scheduled return will be end of May, early June.  At that time, I will be moving to New York to start my New York Teaching Fellow's program and Ashley will be flying back to Hawaii to spend some quality time with her younger brother.
