Guten Tag from Baden Baden,
Emma did very well negotiating the driving & navigating from Tubigen to Baden Baden via the Black Forrest. A very pretty drive. En route we stopped at a couple of German villages, one in particular was another Benedictine Monastery & Brewery, so we acquired a couple of samples to enjoy later on.
Then on to Baden Baden. It lived up to Emma's expectations again. We met up with Alex's friend Rhiannon [from Sydney] who is studying only 20 mins out of the town and we all went up to the spa baths at night. Swam in the baths inside and out in temperatures ranging from 18 degrees to 64 degrees. Quite an experience and very invigorating.
Next day Emma had a 3 hour more intense session in the old baths which includes spa, massage, wrapping etc. while I enjoyed taking in the sights and shops - very expensive, but great window shopping!
We left mid afternoon and travelled back via the autobahn back to Tubigen - much quicker but we did strike a couple of delays due to roadwork. That night we had a farewell dinner with Alex, Marion, & Kathrin (Marion's sister) and then home to pack as we have to leave Tubigen at 4am for Stuttgart and then a very tight connection to Toulouse - hope it all goes to plan.
Love to all,
Win & Emma

Seasoned tourist!
Hi Win, So pleased to be able to read your travels. It sounds as though nothing fazes you - bomb threats, missing trains and planes, all in a day's travel! You are certainly seeing a lot and it sounds like a wonderful experience. Australia won't be big enough for you when you come home.
Looking forward to hearing what's between the lines.
Love, Lee and Allan
