After an amazing time of walking the ancient runes of Ephesus and the runes of St. John's Basicilca, we had a relaxing lunch in the ballroom of a resort hotel. Then we drove up a mountain hillside to a place known as Mary's House. It is thought to be the last home of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I had never heard of this history or legend. It is a fascinating and mystic tale of a German woman "seeing" a vision of this place. Since then the home has been reconstructed and blessed by Pope John Paul II.

This is the only place, I know, that both Christians and Muslims pray together. Mary is highly honored in Islam. Many claim to be physically healed by praying and the waters.
