Sunday February 20th
After being delayed for 24hours in Taiwan, Anita arrives 8am in Anchorage. I pick her up at the airport that morning with a HUGE smile on my face! As we step out side on a chilly Feburary morning. I give her my down jacket as she just came from 90 degree weather and I have had 20 days to get use to the weather. We meet Jen and some friends at Moose's Tooth for some fine gourmet pizza, beer, and tell tales of how we met and our travels. Afterward, we went to my house to unpack Anita's things and meet the folks.
Monday February 21st
Took a scenic drive down to Turnigan Pass in the folks car to play in the snow
Tuesday February 22nd
Dad, Anita, and I ran down and picked up the car and drove back to the house. We grabbed mom, all piled in and took it to the dealership in Wasilla. Along the way we pointed out the "suburbs" of Anchorage. She was amazed at how open and spreads out things were.
Wednesday February 23rd
Anita and I drove and walked around in the downtown/city business center of Anchorage, checking out shops.
Thursday February 24th
I took Anita out to the shooting range to do some rifle shooting
Friday February 25th
Friday Night we went out with Jen, Tisha, Buck, Katie, and Steve for Tisha's birthday. We started out by having some drinks over at Jens dad¡¦s house. We met some people at Shed ended at the Call of the Wild. We all had a blast and a bit too much to drink.
Saturday February 26th
After sleeping in most of the morning, we lounged around the house. That evening we met up with Tricia, Weston, and their friends at Sea Galley for a nice evening dinner. Anita got all excited cause she got a "to go box", apparently they don't do that in the Netherlands.
Sunday February 27th
Sunday, Anita, Jen, her daughter Katie, and I went sledding up at Alpenglow
Tuesday March 1st
Anita and I wanted to take the tunnel to Whitter. Angel, our black lab loves to go on rides so we took her too. I haven't taken it since it has been built, you use to only be able to get there was by train, so I had no idea how it worked. Basically at certain times the traffic either flows in or out, and it shuts down by a certain time. It was a little wait to drive over, plus we would have limited time there, so we decided to drive to Hope instead. There's really nothing there, but it is a pretty drive. On the way home, we decided to catch the sunset up at Glen Alps. Glen Alps is the starting point for where a lot of people hike Flat Top Mountain, and it over looks Anchorage. We drove home, dropped Angel off and had dinner with my folks at Moose's Tooth.
Wednesday March 2nd
Well Kaitlynn was "sick" so Anita and I told Jennifer that we would baby sit her for the day
Thursday March 3rd
Anita and I went down to the Ulu Factory. An Ulu is a type of cutting tool, but not really classified as a knife. It was originally developed by the Alaska Natives for cutting. If you can imagine it is a horseshoe shape cutting edge with a handle on top. So we spent sometime in the factory checking things out.
Friday March 4th
Anita and I went skiing At Alyeska. Weather was marginal, mostly clear in the morning, then getting cloudy and snowing in the afternoon. Later that evening we went to an Aces hockey game with my parents and Jennifer.

Aces Hockey Game
. Stopped by the Welcome to the Kenai Peninsula sign to take a photo, and as I pull in, I hear a loud pop, and the car loses power, and starts making the most god awful sound. So I call Dad, and he drives out and gets us. We pushed the car further in the parking lot, and plan on coming back in the morning with a dolly to tow it back to town with dad's truck. That even we relax, eat dinner, and watch some TV.Tuesday February 22nd

Anita shooting the 7mmSAUM
. I had 2 .22 rimfire rifles and my 7mm SAUM centerfire rifle. She really enjoyed and had fun plinking with the 22's, but was pretty shocked when she fired the 7mm. Big difference in recoil and report. I asked if she wanted to shoot it again, she said she'd stick with the other one. Lol, we both had a blast, just shooting all morning.Friday February 25th

At Hope
. Jen's friend Chris met up with us later. After a few hours of sledding, we went to the Alaska Zoo to check things out. That evening we had a barbeque at my house with My folks, Jennifer, Jennifer's dad Daryl, Katie, and Chris.Tuesday March 1st

At the Game
. For those of you don't know, my friend Jennifer has the cutest (now 4) year old daughter, but she's spoiled and can be a pain in the butt just like her mother (Ha Jen! I know you still love me!). By the late afternoon she was feeling better, I guess watching Shrek and Finding Nemo is the key, that we took her to the park. Jennifer came over after work and we all had dinner at my parents house.Thursday March 3rd
