Well this will is gonna be brief..! Last year i came here for one day and had a great night out, i even sang karaoke..! But its amazing how things can change in 1 year.... at first i thought i'd woke up as Sam Beckett; "Oh Boy"... where's Al when you need him?? Quantum leaped right in to a blazing hot Moscow... Russians everywhere... now, until i traveled i hadn't come across many Vlads and Vladesses but every now again i have stopped somewhere completely over run, almost like a migration, i remember Goa being like this, Koh Chang and also other very touristy areas but Nha Trang takes the biscuit.... imagine what Spain's Coast Del's looked like back in the 80's when package holidays took off and they had all these ultra white and sun burnt Europeans wandering around and looking like typical tourists and this is what you get... i mean, they dress like they are from the 80's for one thing, like Del Boy and the gang and, i don't wanna sound at all prejudice but i think you'd need a truck load of tickling brushes, a tonne of laughing gas and plenty of Christmas cracker jokes to get any kinda peep out of a Russian - not that you'd tell one to their face because they're all built like Ivan Drago, and that's just the women...?! ;).... i joke but that's actually quite true. A typical Russian couple is a huge Drago type guy wearing a GYM shirt and white trousers and a blonde schwartznegger-esque blond bombshell with lips the size of Gibralter and both either dragging along a pygmy size chihuahua with diamond necklace or 2 kids who just look like miniature clones of their parents...!! wish i'd got some photo's but if i had maybe that millisecond after the camera click i would have felt 2 KGB hands whip me in to a classic black Mercedes Benz and off on to the next flight to Siberia.... As it turns out, that's actually the reason for the Russian influx, Nha Trang now has a direct flight to Moscow probably set up from the Russian's with money who originally discovered the place and started the emigration over.... apparently all big mafia money but that's all gossip and i don't know how much of it is the truth but it meant that at least  half the shops, menu's and streets signs were now in Vietnamese AND Russian...

So next morning it was off again, earlier than expected and off to Da Lat, a beautiful mountain station town and somewhere i would spend all of the official days of the lunar new year at before finally making my way via a few more stops to Saigon... but not without incident, and my first crash on the motorbike..! Ha haaa... its great writing up my blogs weeks later so i can leave cliffhangers like that!!
