Where I stayed
La Maison Ursulines
What was I saying? Oh yeah, Vieux Quebec. the people here-as in Montreal-have been amazing. Food maybe even more so. I love the availability of fresh and artisan food products. I really wish we ate like this down in the states (we don't). The place we are staying is almost directly next to the Chateau Frontenac, so the view is gorgeous. And the view of the St. Lawrence river from the landing by the Frontenac? Breathtaking. It's unfortunate that so much of the surrounding area appears to be super-industrialized, but cities have to grow I guess. Seeing it here just makes you wish they had kept the same architectural integrity throughout the whole vicinity, not just old town. The snow tonight though? Truly magical. Kylie and I threw on our winter garb the minute it started and headed down to Rue St. Jean. We walked around, got some crepes, and spent the entire walk home having a snowball fight. I really feel quite at home in my little corner of Quebec here. Plenty more days here, but so far, so great.
