Isla San Martin, spooky kelp growing down about 20ft,like a sea forest. We anchored with Mollyhock and Catspaw, for a night ,then set off for San Quintin (same name a the famous prison),we only stayed overnight ,but found out later that Catspaw tried to raise us on the VHF radio when they arrived as they went aground on a sandbank, outside of the lagoon.Noted for its dangerous breakers ,at the entrance!
150nm to ,Islas San Benitos. When during the night, with the full moon waning and Venus allowing us much needed light, during the dark winter night (it gets dark at 17.00),we broke down, whilst motor sailing and the wind died.
No matter.Tony had a back up (electric) fuel pump and we puttered slowly to our island.
As when we arrived we were alone.Apart from about 1,000 seals and a couple of crazy but fun fishermen
