Short Entry
In my humble opinion, visiting Vigan had the least bang for my buck. Not only that I had to detour from Baguio to head up north, it took only 3 hours for me to complete Vigan's sights and the connecting buses to Manila only leave at night. Weather was so hot and harsh that I found myself sipping on a cold soft drink everytime I sat down for my meals. In this searing heat, it meant that I basically watched cable TV in my room all day, slept and only headed out for meals when the stomach calls. At least I made some entries for my diary.
Blizzard in Night Bus Part II
Surprisingly when I left Vigan Hotel for Partas bus terminal at the market, the weather turned pretty cool and breezy. The overnight bus back to Manila takes approximately 9 hours, departing every hour in the late evening til 11 pm. There is one thing every traveller should take note of overnight bus journeys between Manila and North Luzon - they are freaking freezing!
