After a stop at Letterfrack to have lunch in a pub on the terrace, we reached Diamond Hill which is located quite close to this village. Diamond Hill, in the heat of the Connemara National Park, is part of the Twelve Bens assembly line. There are dedicated footpath to reach the top of the mountain (445 meters) and from there, the panorama on all the Connemara is incredible. You can see all the sea and mountains gorgeous landscapes… You can even sight Kylemore Abbey
You will be impressed by the ground in Connemara: because of the water, it's a real sponge. During the walk, some kinds of wooden pontoon were built when the ground is not practicable to avoid people to sink.
During my stay in Ireland, I have been 3 times to Connemara, and the weather was always sunny…very lucky!!
