We got to Noosa early enough to catch sunset and drove hastily to the nearest lookout. Unfortunately Bumblebee wasn't up to the challenge and we didn't quite make it to the top of hill in time - ended up with (very pretty) pictures of pink sky instead! Pootled back to the campsite for dinner and got an early night. The next day Will went over to the shower block while I cleared away our breakfast bits. I was outside leaning in to the van when I heard a flutter of wings around me and suddenly felt something land on my back! I tried to turn round to see what it was and it was one of those parakeet/lorikeet/parrot things again! When I looked twice I realised there were two of them! Could these be the same two from Sydney - who knows?! I tried to find some bread without moving around too much and lured them onto my arm instead. They were quite happily having breakfast on my arm when Will came back. Mentioning something along the lines of Debbie Do-Little he (naturally) whipped out the camera (seriously - does he take that thing to the toilet?!) A good few photos and slices of bread later (Will was feeding them by this point) we decided that we really should get on with our day Sunset over Noosa

. He tried to ask them nicely to fly off but they just chattered back to him not getting the hint. On a count of 3 he gently waved his arm to get them off... SWOOOOSH - they both landed on my head!!! Seriously! Talk about tame! We finally managed to get rid of them, checked ourselves for poo and feathers (finding none thank goodness) and headed to Noosa Marina to check out the market.

Will chatted to his brother on the mobile while I wandered round looking at various arty crafty things in the market - very nice but nothing worth carrying round for the next 6 months! We then drove 10 minutes to the main beachfront and the heart of Noosa. The rather swanky street was lined with some rather swanky clothes shops and lots of cafes. It was very pretty but uber expensive, we walked round for a while and checked out the beach then headed along the coast to a desolate beach for a picnic lunch. You realise how huge Australia is when you can sit on a 9 mile beach having lunch and have the place to yourself!
