After surviving the blustery night we awoke to cold showers and a warm fridge - the wind had knocked out the power.
We headed of to find fuel as we were running on fumes but the first couple of places couldn't help as they were also without power. In the end we had to head all the way back down to Bateman's Bay and rolled in the forecourt of a functioning petrol station.
As we were already in town we decided to have a quick internet session and get some insurance sorted (better late than never!)

After lots of going round the houses and with assistance from a nice man at the financial ombudsman service we finally found a company (CIL if anyone's interested) who was both able to insure campervans and non-resident drivers. You would have thought with the amount of backpackers doing this it wouldn't have been such a big deal. Anyway, the good news is that the quote (for me & Debs as named drivers, fully comp) came back at a staggering... wait for it...$17 per month! A bargain I think you'll agree.
With our cover sorted we drove north to the town of Kiama - Again, nice, but not much to see.
