Despite the strong winds it was nice to be back on the coast as it was much warmer than it had been for weeks.
Bateman's Bay is a nice little town which is worth a look in even though there's not that much to do. We passed the time wandering round the shops and sea front and playing crazy golf.
We stayed a little north of the town at a place called South Durras. We went roo spotting in the woods nearby, although actually found many more in the campsite next door. The wind had got even stronger so after cooking a Massaman curry in the excellent camp kitchen and surviving a close encounter with a Roo and her Joey we retired to the van to watch a rom-com (50 first dates) which we'd rented from the office.
During the night the wind got so bad (Debbie + Curry ¸ Bad Wind = Joke) we actually had to pull the roof down for fear of it being ripped off!
