At the zoo, the animals, particularly the birds look in fine health but the regular exploitation of several makes me uncomfortable. The monkeys, elephants and crocodile are all paraded and made to dance, ride bicycles and play football. When a man puts his head into a croc's open jaws, you so want the stunt to go terribly wrong.
For 200 baht you can have your photograph taken with a snake, orang utan, on an elephant or beside a tiger. I confess, I succumb to the temptation to get close to a tiger, though I feel a little insecure as the guy controlling (and taunting) the tiger is missing an arm.
