Numbing mellow sax drifts from the empty poolside restaurant. Coincidentally Kenny G is in town for a jazz festival, following on from fellow saxpert, Bill Clinton who was in Phuket a week ago. In the evenings, there are numerous Thai singer-guitarists performing bland, 'classic' rock in the restaurants. Every Saturday Elvis Prasoot does his bit for local culture, and there's drag and balancing elephants at the Fantasea show. Or, there are podium dancers in the bars...
