The ease of the trek frustrates me. After brief hikes we're stopping again. I scratch the bug bites on my ankles. Rather than wildlife, Tarzan seems unusually fascinated by lumber.
After an overlong lunch break we amble past a pair of squealing, interlocked, shagging dogs to a pretty waterfall where the trekking company like to photograph bikini-clad trekkers for their brochure. The water is too cold to enjoy, but our group welcomes the opportunity to shower after the sweat of the day. As with every stop, villagers have set up a long table for us and have a cooler full of chang beer, coke and water for sale (plus bead necklaces).
